The secretary <rf thp Christchurch Tramway Workers’ Union (Mr N. Gray) said yesterday that his meeting would be addressed by the national secretary (Mr P. A. Hansen), who would also speak to unionists in the other three main centres. Advice had not yet been received on when Mr Hansen could attend. ■ are not likely to disrupt rail , traffic. J If the Canterbury branch of ' the A.SJLS. holds such a - meeting, however, rail tran- , sport will be halted for Several hours. The secretory (Mr J. F. E. McDowell) said yesterday that a meeting outside work- ’ ing hours had been called for tomorrow evening, and If I there was a good attendance , ft might be possible to avoid ’ a stop-work meeting.
