(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MANILA. Australia won the final two singles matches to complete a 5-0 sweep over the Philippines in the Asian zone of the Davis Cup tennis. J. Alexander, the youngest member of the Australian team, beat E. Cruz, 8-6, 6-3, 6-3, and R. Ruffels gave the veteran Filipino, R. Deyro, a neat tennis lesson, 6-1, 6-0, 6-2. Australia will play Japan in the semi-finals of the Eastern zone on April 17 to 19, in Tokyo.
