FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A large slow-moving anticyclone covers New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury. Light north - easterlies about the coast; areas of cloud at first this morning in coastal areas, but breaking and partly cloudy or fine weather becoming general; moderate temperatures near the coast; warm inland. Nelson, Marlborough, Buller and West-land-Moderate variable winds; scattered cloudy areas or fog soon clearing and partly cloudy mild weather predominating. * Outlook. —All districts: fine.
