ROBBERY CHARGE

Verdict Of Guilty (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13. A man and a woman, charged with the robbery of a 73-year-old man, were remanded in custody for sentence by Mr Justice Richmond in the Supreme Court today after a jury found them guilty on the charge.

The accused are Robert Bruce Wallace, aged 43, a painter, and Beverley Ann Donaldson, aged 27, a housewife. They pleaded not guilty to a charge of robbing William Green of a wallet, cigarettes, and $B4 at Auckland on September 26. Mr S. G. Lockhart appeared for Wallace, and Mr W. E. Finn for Mrs Donaldson.

Flogging Opposed. The New Zealand Methodist conference yesterday reaffirmed its opposition to corporal punishment.—(P.A.)
