BID ON WORLD RECORD

G. M. Glover, the New Zealand representative roller skater in the world championships at Mar Del Plata, Argentina, in December, will attempt to break the world 5000 metres record of Bmin 29sec at the Hornby Rollerdrome tomorrow. He has already recorded a faster time, Bmln 25sec, in training, and he regards the race on Saturday, in which he will be paced by the other members of the New Zealand team, D. Hayes (Hastings), and two members of last year’s team, Misses M. MacDonald

and R. Alexander, as a test of his physical fitI ness and speed after 3000 miles of training during the winter. !
