Winding-up Petitions

A Supreme Court petition for the winding-up of Maruia; Hot Springs Hotel, Ltd, was yesterday further adjourned —for the last time, said Mr Justice Wilson—to October 22, The adjournment was sought by Mr R. F. B. Powell, for the company, to enable negotiations for sale of shares to be completed. The petition has been brought by Smith, Sargent, and Partners, architects and engineers, of Wellington (Mr R. B. Leete), supported by three other provision and wine and spirit companies. Order Made Ail order for the windingup of Mainland Batteries, Ltd, was made by his Honour on the petition of Erie Bruce Willis, a company director (Mr A. P. C. Tipping), a shareholder in the company.
