Dewe, of the New Zealand Army Band, was invited to lead the Band of the Australian Northern Command through the streets of Brisbane during the annual Warana Festival a few days ago. He is shown giving a command as the band moved on to parade. Drum-Major Dewe, who comes from Christchurch, is one of three bandsmen in the New Zealand Army contingent of 128 now in Australia to exercise with Australian troops. The New Zealanders will return home next Tuesday.
