Jordanian Allegation

(N Z P A -Reuter —Copyright, AMMAN. Oct 7. Jordanian Government officials said today that they had foiled a crime against the State planned by the leadership of the dissolved Nabahani Liberation Party. A statement from the Ministry of the Interior however, did not specify the nature of the crime. It accused the party, led by Sheikh Takieddin Al-Naba-hani. who is abroad, of “being devoted to the service of the enemy and to implementing its designs against this country, its steadfastness, and determination to liberate the usurped land.” The Liberation Party, which was dissolved with other political parties in Jordan in 1957, advocates the establishment of an Islamic State comprising all Moslem countries, and the adoption of teachings and laws followed by Moslem Khalifs. The Jordanian authorities had earlier accused Sheikh Takieddin and several other party leaders of plotting against State security.
