WAITAKI BID FOR TEKAU
Acceptances For 65 p.c.

OAMARU, October 8.
Acceptance has been received by the Waitaki Farmers Freezing Company, Ltd, of 65 per cent of the ordinary shares in Tekau Knitwear, Ltd. In a letter to Tekau shareholders yesterday, Waitaki said acceptances were still being steadily received. Waitaki's offer of seven ordinary 50c shares for every five fully paid ordinary 200 c shares in Tekau and 65c cash for each, remains open until October 20. It is conditional on 90 per cent acceptance or any lesser number as Waitaki may decide.
