WELLINGTON.
Miss J. Burch (Shandon) defeated the former New Zealand representative, Miss S. Grigg (Christchurch), 5 and 4, in toe quarter-final of toe Wellington women’s golf championships at Heretaunga yesterday. Miss Grigg, one of toe favourites for the title, could do nothing as Miss Burch reeled off five birdies.
