LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should prefer* ably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O. box number is not a sufficient address. (2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. (3) The Editor cannot return or kee® any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing: nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words.
W. B. Bray.—We doubt that the story is told in universities nowadays even for a laugh. Patrick Neary.—No doubt he was joking; and we see no need to pursue the side issue. Snowline. Others probably offered the same suggestion before the matter was publicised. B. Anderson.—The Government has given an assurance that the bill will be passed in this session. Puzzled.—Employees closely in contact with the public must consider public opinion. No space to discuss it.
Hammond.—A drop in the bucket. The field of discussion on priorities of this kind is unlimited and it serves little useful purpose.
Bethune.—You did in even less explicit terms than “some " time ago.” If it is now running into months you should write to the firm and ask for a decision.
