NEW CLUB FORMED

The formation of a second Toastmistress club in Christchurch indicates that women want to train themselves to speak in public on a variety of topics with confidence. The first group, the Christchurch Toastmistress Club, which was founded early last year, is now full. The second, the Avon Toastmistress Club, was formed recently to meet a growing demand and already has 12 members. Its membership limit will be 30.

The first officers of the Avon club are: President, Miss Adrienne von Tunzelmamn; secretary, Miss Hazel Holmes.
