MANILA, July 3.
The taking of evidence will be resumed on Saturday before the United States and Royal Australian board of Navy officers investigating the collision between the American destroyer Frank E. Evans and the’ Australian aircraftcarrier Melbourne. The captain of the destroyer (Commander Albert McLemore) will be among the witnesses to be recalled. The inqury into the collision, which cut the destroyer in two and killed 74 of her crew, was adjourned last Friday so that the factfinding board could evaluate three weeks of testimony from 78 witnesses.
