Table Tennis Title To A. Hewitt
A Hewitt (Malvern) won the men's singles when he beet B. Loudon in the final of the Canterbury table tennis sub-associa-tion tournament.
Hewitt and Loudon both played an open attacking game but Hewitt had the edge to win 21-17, 21-17. The Canterbury representative. Miss M. P. Green (North Canterbury), easily defeated Mrs I. Bishop (Ellesmere) to win the" women’s singles. Points were awarded as one point for every win. Final points were: North Canterbury I 55. Ellesmere 22.
