Nor’wester Makes Flying Hectic The first free flight field day for 1969, held by the Kaiapoi Model Aero Club at Eyreton, started under, ideal conditions until a north-west wind arose about 9 a.m. and made flying hectid. Results were:
A/2: B. Turner 5192, W. .Forbes 478. FAI: W. Forbes 297, M. Scott 32. A/l: P. Comrie 802, B. Turner 86. Open power: B. •Turner 270. Precision power: P. Wheeler 118 points. Handlaunched glider: B. Turner 228, P. Wheeler 170, W. Forbes 120.
Results of, a’control lin'e field day. held at kaiapoi, were: Class A FAI team race: W. Forbes 11:25.0, M. Scott, 17:9.0, P. Wheeler 60 laps. Half A team race: M. Wilson 9:58.8. Class B: W. Forbes 10:36.4, B. Turner 13:27.6, M. Scott 55 laps. Stunt: P. Wheeler 889, W. Forbes 554, l6l, B. Conway 59.
