England XI Chosen
The captain of the England women’s cricket team, Miss R. Heyhoe will lead her side in the two-day match against Canterbury, which starts today at Hagley Oval. Miss Heyhoe said last night that the English party endeavoured to select a wellbalanced side for each match, and she felt that the team to play Canterbury was “quite a strong one." It is:—
R. Heyhoe (captain), A. Disbury. S. Plant, J. Moorhouse, J. Clark, C. Watmough, M. Pilling, C. Evans, L. Thomas. H. Dewdney, E. Bakewell. The twelfth woman is S. Hodges.
