Queensland. trailing by 105 runs in the first innings of its Sheffield Shield cricket match against South Australia on Sunday, fought back strongly yesterday and at stumps was 175 ahead. On the third day of the four-day game, Queensland was six for 280 at the end of play. S. Trimble hit 99 before running himself out as he strove for his century. Scores: Queensland 141 and 280/6 (S. Trimble 99. R. Surtl 64) v. South Australia 246.
