Two industrial sites offered I at public auction by Ford and (Hadfield, Ltd, were passed in. i A 32-percb section at 388 (Tuam Street, zoned Industrial ;A, with a 66ft frontage, was ! passed in at 815,500. The Go». j eminent valuation is 88900. A (house is at present on the site and is being let on a weekly basis. The bidding ! started at 815.000 and rose in two bids of 8250 each to the | passing price. I The other site, at 33 DisI raeli Street is an 18.2 perch section with a 50 link frontage and also has a cottage on it, let on a weekly tenancy. It was passed in at S4OOO. after bidding started at 83500 and rose by two bids of S2OO each and one bid of SlOO. The Government valuation is 83050. The auctioneer in both cases was Mr D. O. Chapman.
’ A block of two self-con-tained flats on a 37-perch sec- ' tion at 419 Madras Street, (which was passed in at auc- ! tion on Monday at 84070, was sold by private treaty for the same price on Thursday. It was offered on account of the trustees of the late R. J. L. Cole. The Government valuation of the property is 84450. The auctioneer was Mr .1. L. T. Dyer, of George Anderson and Son, Ltd.
