TROTTING Johnny Gee Likely At Hutt Park Tonight

Johnny Gee should make amends for a rather unlikely third on Saturday when he contests the French Pass Handicap, the first leg of the T.A.B. concession double at Hutt Park Raceway this evening.

Johnny Gee was late *i-working clear of a pocket :_;on the rails on Saturday ■;night and he made ' ground at a great rate •close to the finish where Xhe was not far from Sty-.-.lish Maior and his stable--mate, Tony Bear.

-J The same pair will be '-among bis main rivals tonight, "-but Johnny Gee meets them on much more favourable terms. On Saturday he started from 12 yards and the other two from the limit

Tonight, over an extra two furlongs, he will start from 24 yards along with Tony Bear, while Stylish Major will give them both six yards. Tony Bear must again be given a great chance. He is racing most generously at present, as also is Stylish Major, which won twice within three days last week. Queen's Cord trotted her best race for the season when

fourth on Saturday. She will appreciate the extra two furlongs in this race and along with Mountain Pride, Direct Globe and Rannach Lad she appeals most of the remainder. Alandria will be a commanding favourite for the second leg, the Blenheim Handicap. She came fast but a little late and just failed to catch Goldmount on Satur-

day. Alandria will need to show very little improvement to win.

Black On, Coinsman, Senator Frost, Flight Adorian, and Half Moon are other prospects in a fairly open race. The on-course concession double will be run on the Tawa Handicap and the Foxton Handicap. Fair weather is forecast and the track will again be fast.
