NATIONAL SAFETY ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND INCORPORATED APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of FARM SAFETY FIELD OFFICER (a new appointment) to cover the SOUTH ISLAND, NORTH OF CLUTHA RIVER. The applicant must be of mature years, 30 - 45. Experience in farming is essential. The successful applicant will be required to live in Christchurch and will be located in the Association’s office. If necessary, reasonable removal expenses will be granted to the successful candidate. A car will be made available. The prime requirement is to have an engaging personality, the ability to speak in public, to work unsupervised, and to work with and advise the farming industry on accident prevention matters. The successful applicant will be required to undergo training in Wellington and Hamilton on taking up the appointment, and all expenses during the training period will be met by the Association. Starting salary will be $2443 per annum, with adequate allowances and substantial increments for each year’s service up to seven. Three weeks’ annual holiday, and a subsidised Superannuation Scheme is available after six months probationary period.
