Eisenhower Sick
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Feb. 23. The former American President, Mr Dwight Eisenhower, had developed acute intestinal trouble, doctors reported last night. The illness had not affected his heart, which has suffered seven attacks, they said. Officials at Walter Reed Hospital said doctors were considering whether surgery would be necessary. The 78-year-old general, who has been in hospital since the first of his four latest heart attacks last April, was taking nourishment intravenously, they said. His latest heart attack was on August 16.
