FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A slow-moving anticyclone covers New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—North-easterlies predominating, fresh at times in exposed coastal areas; scattered areas of low cloud or fog at first, otherwise fine; warm inland during the day; mild about the coast. Marlborough and Nelson.—Light or moderate variable winds; fine apart from scattered low cloud or fog at first; mild during the day. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds with sea breezes about the coast during the day; some areas of low cloud or fog at first, otherwise fine; mild during the day.
