HAIL DAMAGE.—Mr I. L. Pickering, whose 111-acre farm at Springston was devastated by the recent hailstorm, is shown in some badly damaged barley. Whereas he was expecting a yield of 85 to 100 bushels to the acre off the 38-acre crop before the storm, now the most he is expecting is enough feed barley to cover the cost of the seed.
