RACING Hamua Picked Today In Wanganui Cup
“The Press” Special Service PALMERSTON NTH. With the weather clearing and a high wind to dry the track, Hamua has retained favour for the Wanganui Cup today. His trainer, S. A. Brown, said yesterday the horse was right at his peak, but he said Hamua had never been able to produce top form on soft going. Kalott’s final work, coupled with the engagement of R. J. Skelton, makes her Hamua’s logical rival. Domodossola is likely to hold the other safely. In the second leg, the Flying Handicap, Dolapal remains a firm favourite, with Carlsberg also well favoured.
