FATHER WAS FURIOUS

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON.

Three-year-old Katie Pickles loved the secret telephone chats with her favourite “auntie”, but it made her father furious. Katie’s “auntie” turned out to be the General Post Office time service, the “Daily Mirror” reports. When the £3O telephone bill arrived—almost twice as big as usual—her father complained to the G.p.0., which reported a large number of calls to its “talking clock”. And that led to the discovery that Katie had learned how to dial for the time and talk to “auntie”.
