PROMOTION TEAM

(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) LONDON, Feb. 7.

A new team of 14 New Zeai land girls has begun pro- ! motion of butter and cheese in British grocery stores for I the Dairy Board. ! The board has used similar {teams in the past for proI motional work, and this week {the 1969 group began cooking i demonstrations in London supermarkets. During the year their activities will involve similar demonstrations throughout Britain. HELLO EVERYBODY! About 105 years ago. one man dropped a pebble, on which was inscribed the word, “Mercy,” into a troubled world, and we know the ripples it caused—how the ripples became waves, so much so that, in a period of 105 years, 110 nations signed on the dotted line to agree to a theory expounded so long ago by one man, and an association of people under the banner of the Red Cross has been brought together which now numbers well over two hundred million members. So Dunant proved to the world, and he proved to us, that a really good thing is always good, and it becomes better the more it operates. Red Cross has proved that it is possible to provide emergency help to those in need, irrespective of race, colour, creed, or political beliefs.

Following this principle, laid down so many years ago by its founder, it has been able, throughout the world, in both peace and war, to give help and comfort to many millions without its motives being questioned. Red Cross is welcomed and greeted in every land, not with suspicion, mistrust, or fear, but with faith, hope and gratitude. It will hold this unique position as a dispenser of mercy because its help is practical and available to friend and foe alike. Why not join us? Best Wishes! RED CROSS. —Advt.
