Tremendous detailed preparation has been made. We commend the evangelical group who are sponsoring this crusade. The organisation appears good, yet many express a heavy spirit regarding the work involved. They have a sense of duty rather than joy and spiritual power as the Crusade draws near. There Is serious lack of heart-felt, earnest prayer. Many people are saying prayers, but are not crying for Revival. Where will new Christians be channelled following the Crusade? To congregations where tiberal teaching is given, or to evangelical congregations which have the Word but not the power of the Holy Spirit? Or to live vital, warm, spiritfilled congregations? St Paul writes about Christians "who hold to the outward form of reliigiion but reject its real power.” Every Christian should be earnestly seeking for God’s power for. their own lives and that of their Church. We all desperately need the mighty power of the Holy Spirit to bring Revival. These are most urgent days. Billy Graham said in a meeting recently "that signs of the times indicate the Second Coining of Christ is at hand.’’ What great responsibility rests upon the Christian Church to warn and to call people everywhere to Christ! Liberal anti Modernistic preachers do not believe there is to be a Second Coming, but the Bible declares it. May the Executive Committee of this Crusade give an open, bold, forthright and inspiring lead in the power of the Holy Spirit to all people of this city no matter whether official orthodox Church eaders approve or not. Let us all fear God rather than fear what men may say. May we all turn urgently to God in repentance and faith. David Edmonds. 3223
