OVERSEAS TRADING
SYDNEY The week dosed on a very firm note with a number ol mining stocks showing spectacular gains and oil stocks enjoying solid support. Queensland Mines jumped 90c to 700 c. Oii stocks had another good day. A.O.G. rose 10c to 160 c, Woodside finished at 2-22 c, up 7c, Ex Oil up 4c to 94c and Mid Eastern Oils firmed at 170 c, A.O.D. was up 10c *o 117 c. MELBOURNE Oils were mostly steady in active trading. Woodside finished 14c better at 228 c. Other issues were little changed. Mid Eastern dropped 5c at 165 c, A.O.D. was actively supported to 122 c before closing 6c better at 116 c. Base metals leaders moved narrowly but Great Boulder dropped 30c to 800 c. Golds were firm.
