Title Fight Challengers
(N .Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK. The heavy-weights, Buster Mathis and Jerry Quarry, have signed for a 12-round bout in New York on March 24, with the winner to challenge the world title-holder, Joe Frazier.
Mathis easily outpointed the Canadian champion, George Chuvalo, last Monday night to earn the right to fight Quarry. Mathis’s only defeat in 30 professional fights was to Frazier, who knocked him out in 11 rounds last March.
