Kite Flying Displays

W. Moyes, the Sydney “birdman” who more than doubled his world water-ski kite altitude record at Lake Ellesmere on Thursday, will further demonstrate his skills in Christchurch today. Between 11 a.m. and noon, Moyes will perform a variety of tricks with his deitawinged kite in Lyttelton Harbour, and at 3 p.m. he will jump off Castle rock, on the Summit Road, and glide down into the Heathcote Valley. . On Sunday, he is scheduled to make an appearnqe at Brooklands and hopes to visit Queenstown in the next few days and attempt to “jump off a couple of mountains.”
