FLOODING LIKELY
Cyclone In North
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 6. Cyclone Colleen may bring floods to northern parts of the North Island, a Weather Office spokesman said tonight. The Weather Office has alerted all catchment boards in northern areas that heavy rain, which began falling this afternoon in some areas, could cause flooding. The spokesman said the cyclone, which had lost a lot of its strength, was centred just north-west of North Cape at 6 p.m. The cyclone could move south and hit other areas of the North Island and northern parts of the South Island tomorrow.
