STRIP SHOW CHARGES
Women And Man Fined
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 6. Three young women and a photo-engraver were fined today when they appeared for sentence in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court on charges of presenting an indecent show for gain. The four, Dawn Gaynor Edlin, aged 19, Ruth Corcoran, aged 18, and Christine Andrea Ninnes, aged 18, entertainers, and Ronald George Montgomery, aged 35, had pleaded guilty to charges arising from a series of strip shows presented at an Auckland club in June, July and August. Mr C. E. H. Pledger, S.M., fined Montgomery $l5 on each of two of eight charges. On each of the others he was ordered to pay costs of $5. Ninnes was placed on a year’s probation on each of three charges. On each of two of the counts she was fined $4O. Corcoran was released on a year’s probation on two charges, on each of which she was fined $3O. Edlin was fined $25 on each of four charges.
