f.V.Z, Press Association) j GREYMOUTH. ! The Olympic marathon re-1 presentative, D. C. McKenzie,: has lost a chance of winning] his fifth successive Canterbury marathon. McKenzie has been forced to withdraw from Saturday’s race because of a hamstring injury. He is also doubtful whether he will be fit for the New Zealand marathon on March 8.
Vice-President.—The chairman of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union management committee (Mr J. G. Baddeley), has been nominated by his union for the position of junior vice-president of the New Zealand union.
