Woman Killed

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 2. A woman on her way to attend a wedding at Wanganui was killed when the car in which she was a passenger was in collision with an Army truck near Tongariro National Park about 9.30 a.m. on Saturday. She was Constance Ashmore, aged 77, a widow, of Kawhia. Her daughter, and the driver of the car, Dorothy Mina Millen, aged 46, married, of Hamilton, suffered serious head injuries and lacerations, and was admitted to the Taumarunui Hospital. The driver of the Army truck was not hurt.
