Higher Licence Fee Urged

The driver’s licence fee of 50c was fixed in 1924, and surely a more realistic level was overdue, the County Clerk (Mr A. Kelly) said at a meeting of the Paparua County Council last evening. Suggesting that a remit supporting an increase could go to this year’s counties’ conference, he said that the council received about $5OOO a year from this source.
