Sir, —It is pleasing to read in Saturday’s editorial that “Better pay and conditions have attracted more men and women to police service.” Nevertheless, one would hope that these men and women are of better quality than those which you feared, in an editorial last year, would be attracted into the teaching profession by similar incentives.—Yours, etc., TEACHER SUPPORTER.
