To add to the excellent collection so far published, Jackdaw Publications (Jonathan Cape) have now produced two more folders, No. 55, “Cardinal Wolsey,” and No. 56, “Thomas. More.” The folders contain invaluable information concerning these two statesmen, giving detailed accounts of their lives, together with life-like portraits and facsimile copies of ancient letters and documents. Assisted by these portraits and documents, some written in Latin, others in Old English, the reader is transported back to the sixteenth century, where the dispute between More and Henry VIII becomes again a reality.
