'PARTY’ HELD BY VANDALS

Artist’s Home Damaged (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 31. Intruders recently threw a party in the Vogeltown home of the artist, Peter Mclntyre, causing damage possibly of hundreds of dollars. The damage was noticed by I a postman yesterday. ! The police are trying to locate Mr Mclntyre, who is on holiday in the north of the North Island. The intruders worked methodically through every room, tipping the contents of drawers and cupboards on to the floor and smashing Crockery and ornaments. Several of Mr Mclntyre's paintings are believed to have been damaged. The vandals created the greatest havoc in the lounge, where books, playing cards, broken beer flagons, wine and beer bottles, crockery, pot plants, rugs and ornaments littered the floor.
