SECOND LINTON CUP VICTORY

New Zealand scored convincing victories over Tasmania in the Linton Cup and Wilson Cup tennis matches yesterday.
Both the boys’ and girls’ teams won by three matches to love.
J. Simpson was too strong with his service and volleying for his Tasmanian opponent, but I. Baudinet found in his second set that he had
’to tighten his game to stay son top. In the girls’ matches. Miss
S. Collins was always a winner and Miss M. Pryde met little opposition. In an uncompleted doubles match against South Australia, Simpson and R. Rae settled down quickly to win the second and third sets. This gives the New Zealand boys two wins in their last two matches. Results:— Linton Cup New i Zealand v. Tasmania (New Zealand names first): J. Simpson beat G. Jacobs. 6-3, 6-0; 1. Baudinet beat C. Kettle, 6-1, 7-5; J. Simpson and R. Rae beat N. Milene and J. Aufderheide, 6-3, 6-3. New Zealand v.
