Staff Correspondent) LONDON, Dec. 11.1 Mrs Mary Hickey, the wife] of a donkeyman, Mr Charles; Hickey, will be accompanying; her husband when the New] Zealand Shipping Company’s! refrigerated cargo liner, Manapouri, leaves Newoprt, this! week-end. The Manapouri and her, sister ship, Mataura, both built this year, have facilities to enable petty officers’ wives to travel with their husbands and Mrs Hickey is the first to! be granted this facility by the; company. The petty officer’s cabins} are equipped wdth double bunks, wardrobes for two andi washbasins. There is a separate women’s bathroom and] the petty officer’s have their, own lounge.
