D CHURCH NOTICES NEWSPAPER PULPIT A WEEKLY MESSAGE TO ALL THERE is urgent need for people of this city and nation to have a vital personal experience of Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. Many churches place great emphasis upon Christian education, but neglect the basic requirement for Christian Mfe. Consequently there are thousands of so-called Christian people who have never known "the reality of Christ" in their, lives. They have head knowledge but no heart experience. The Rev. Alan Walker, of the Central Methodist Mission in Sydney, in his book "Ringing Call to Mission," states there is need for urgency in prbclaiming the message of Christ. "Preach urgently while there is time," he says. Why are we not hearing the Gospel of Christ preached with power and urgency? Have preachers lost their sense of mission? Churches are more concerned for the material and physical hqnger of men today than they are about meeting man’s spiritual hunger. There is an increasing awareness amongst many that their only hope is Christ. He is the answer for every need. There is no ether name under Heaven given amongst men whereby they can be saved, but Jesus Christ. The .basic requirement for every Christian person is a real experience of Jesus as personal Saviour. We pray for a great spiritual awakening throughout this city and land. These are urgent days. God bless you ail. DAVID EDMONDS, Independent Methodist ’ Evangelist. . 3878 CHRISTADELPHIAN ADDRESS SUNDAY 7 P.M. DRUID’S HALL, 227 Manchester Street (Opposite Civic Theatre) The Messiah Where is the promise of His coming? Throughout the word of God, both Old and New Testaments, there are promises of the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth, to rule the world in righteousness as its King. Zechariah: 14:9: “The Lord shall be King over all the earth.” At this time peace and goodwill will be the order of the day instead of war and enmity. Come and hear how this affects you. Rev. 11:15. "The kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever." Luke 12:32: "Fear not little flock for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give unto you the Kingdom." Micah 4:7, Ezek. 37:21, Dan. 2:44. 3841 iQtIAKEftS (RELIGIOOS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS).
