STUDENTS ' SERVICE

Discussion On

Prof, Geering

The strengths and weaknesses of Professor L. G. Geering’s position will be discussed in a sermon by the principal of Christchurch College (Canon J. O. Rymer) at a special students’ service to be held in the Christchurch Cathedral at 7 p.m. tomorrow.

The service will be the last in a series of three services, organised each year in the second term by the University of Canterbury chaplain (the Rev. D. R. Wilson), to give students an opportunity to listen to. and later discuss, relevant religious subjects. At a meeting after the service, Canon Rymer’s sermon will be discussed by Mr J. Wilson, a lecturer in religious studies in the philosophy department of the university. During the service, the lessons will be read by Mr R. Hopkins, a senior lecturer in accountancy, and Mr G. Liddell, a student.
