PIGS FOR TONGA

Request From Theologian Dr S. A Havea, principal of the Methodist Theological College in Tonga, who visited New Zealand recently for the Maori Bible centenary, wishes to introduce pedigree pigs to Tonga to improve local stock. A report in the “The New Zealand Methodist” says that Dr Havea plans to breed Large White pigs at the college and to give students their offspring when they got out to circuits.

Two 10 to IJjweek-rid pedigree Large White boars and four gilts are needed. Money to buy the animals, which cost about $25 each, would also ba accepted. Anyone who ean help is asked to write to the Rev. E. H Moody, 183 Willis Street, Wellington.
