The Australians gained some valuable batting practice on Saturday when they scored 357 for seven against Nottinghamshire, which was without the West Indies captain, G. S. Sobers. Sobers injured a leg in Nottinghamshire’s last match and his doctor advised him to rest. The touring team took full advantage of his absence and I. R. Redpath, R. M. Cowper, and K.
