CLEARING UNDER PRESSURE.—The German goalkeeper, H. Walter, safely clears an English shot at goal in the international soccer match between England and Germany at Hanover recently. Germany won, 1-0. It was the first time that a German team had beaten England. England beat Germany, 4-2, in extra time in the World Cup final in 1966.
