Failed To Pay For Flowers (N I. Prezx Azxociatlon) AUCKLAND, July 5. A man who, the police said, sent flowers to women friends in various parts of New Zealand although he had no money to pay for them, was fined a total of $2OO by Mr M. L. Morgan, S.M. He is Malcolm John Ewen, aged 25, a truck driver, who was appearing for sentence on four charges of obtaining credit by fraud from florists. The Magistrate said he thought Ewen was trying to play the “big man.” Ewen was allowed four months to pay the fine. He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
