UNIVERSITY VACANCIES AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY SENIOR LECTURER IN THEORETICAL PHYSICS APPLICATIONS are invited for appointment to a post of Senior Lecturer in Theoretical Physics in the Faculty of Science. The appointee will be required to take up duty as early as possible. Candidates are asked to state their particular field of interest. The Department offers courses for the third and fourth years of the pass and honours degree of Bachelor of Science, and students are supervised for the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. Candidates should possess a degree in engineering or in science, with physics or geology as major subjects. The successful applicant will be required to assist in research work on the interrelationship between shrinkage and drying and the influence of materials on these phenomena. (b) Senior Research Assistant for studies in composite construction. The successful applicant will be required to assist in experimental and theoretical studies of composite steel and concrete structures.

Salary for a Senior Research Assistant is within the range $3625-64480 per annum for Grade I and $4715-85410 per annum for Grade 11.
