Protest
The Canterbury Athletic Centre will protest to the Amateur Athletic Association against the exclusion of the Auckland marathon runner, J. L. Julian, from the Olympic team. Mr M. Poulton, the road runners’ representative, told a centre committee meeting that the protest should be made as a matter of principle. Julian had received a higher place in the ranking list of the N.Z.AA.A. selectors than Mrs S. Potts, R. E. Johnson or B. R. E. Jones, the meeting was told earlier. The committee decided to discuss ranking lists at the next annual meeting of the N.Z.A.A.A.
