U.S. Meat Co. Take-over

Wilson and Company, Inc., announced that its New Zealand subsidiary, R. and F. Wallis, Ltd, has purchased the business of C. G. King and Company, Ltd, a wholesale meat company. Wilson and Company is a subsidiary of Ling-femco-Vought, Inc., of Dallas. Wilson's president and chief executive officer (Mr R. _V. Edwards) said the operation of the modern King plant at Invercargill will continue with the present management and staff. Kanieri Gold (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, July 4.
The Kanieri dredge recovered 406 ounces of gold from 320,000 yards of material in 460 hours during June, the company reports.
