B.H.P. Sales Team Returns

(N.Z. Press Ann—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 3. Broken Hill Proprietary, Ltd, has begun negotiations with an international combine to market liquefied petroleum gas in Japan and other Asian countries. B.H.P. announced today that a company sales team had just returned from an overseas trip to investigate the market potential. As result of a detailed review of the market in Japan the company has entered into discussions with Bridgestone Liquified Gas Company, Ltd, exploring the possibility of a

long-term marketing arrangement, B.H.P.’s statement said. BJLP.’s L.P.G. reserves art obtained from newly discov. ered oil and gas fields in Bass Strait, off Victoria. The first shipment of L.P.G. will be ready to leave B.H.P.’s treatment plant in about 12 months. B.H.P. expects to have an export capacity of about 500,000 tons a year.
